Good morning parents! I wanted to take a minute and thank all of you for helping your children and taking on this new role in their education. I know it is not always easy and I appreciate your patience, help, and feedback throughout this remote learning. I have noticed that the views on the daily lesson videos have gone down lately. Please remember that students are expected to complete the work to the best of their ability which might mean that they need to make sure you watch the videos. To Do Today: Blue Math: - Watch “Volume of Composite Rectangular Prisms” video to help review with finding the volume of composite prisms. - Complete the Google Form: Volume Review. - Watch the review video on "fair share" for line plots" (There are questions about this on your assessment on Friday and I notice that many of you are still getting these kinds of questions incorrect) Fast Finishers: - Watch “Finding Volume with Unit Cubes” video to help review volume. - Complete Level 1 and Level 2 on Volume Practice Website: Volume Practice. - Complete Volume Practice Worksheet (with Answer Key). - iReady - Math: 30 minutes of iReady assigned lessons. Yellow Math: - Review Integers using the Khan Academy Videos attached (You may choose videos that target your weaknesses) - Ordering Negative Numbers - Number Opposites - Absolute Values on a number line - Complete the NS.5-NS.7 Review Google Form Fast Finisher: - Mid Chapter Check - Using what you remember about adding and subtracting integers, write a story using your knowledge of integers. The explanation and an example is provided in the attachment. Social Studies: (Can do) - Watch the Brainpop on Martin Luther King Jr. - Read the passage on the "March on Washington". - Complete the writing prompt at the bottom of the passage on the "March on Washington".
