September 19th- Author visit by Carmen Deedy September 20th- SkyZone Spirit Night A BOOST FOR THE BAHAMAS Dolvin’s Dorian Relief Dear Dolvin Families, As you know, so many people have been severely impacted by this latest hurricane. At Dolvin our goal is for the students is to help others. To go along with our 7 Mindsets (character Ed) program, we thought it would be awesome for Dolvin students to be a part of the relief effort. Victims in the Bahamas have been especially hard-hit during the storm. They need basic necessities as the damage is widespread and heartbreaking to see, especially on Abaco Islands. Wouldn’t it be something if our Dolvin families and staff could be a part of the relief effort??? Beginning this Monday, September 9th, please consider sending in some basic supplies as listed below. Your child can give them to their homeroom teacher, but we will also have a box out in the main front hall. We will stop collecting donations on Friday, Sept. 13th to allow time to deliver the items. (These are things that could be bought at the Dollar store.) Suggested items: Tissues Toothpaste Toothbrushes Bar sop Diapers Wipes Batteries Flashlights Sponges Garbage bags Washcloths Hand towels Bandages We will be discussing this in our 7 Mindsets lesson this week. Thanks for your consideration with this important project. 😊 Items will be collected and then brought to the Bahamas Consulate of Atlanta.
