I hope everyone had a good weekend.
1. Please note that it is finally getting colder out. Make sure your child has a jacekt every day for recess. When it get cold enough, they will not be allowed to go out without a jacket and long pants. I know some boys like to wear basketball shorts every day so we advise that they bring a pair of sweat pants to keep in their locker during the winter months.
2. If you did not sign your child up for lunch bunch at the beginning of the year, they are allowing you to sign up for futrue lunch bunches now. You can sign up through the following link.
3. We are in need of 2 parent chaperones to come with us to the teaching museum on December 15th. You will need to be at school by 9:30 and we will get back to the school around noon. Please have your child review their notes nightly. This is the most difficult unit we will cover in 5th grade. Our math test will be December 16th.
We have already had our math quiz over graphins. We are now working with functions. Last week, we covered 1-step functions. We will be working on 2-step functions this week. Our math test will be December 16th.
We just started our World War I unit today. We will cover World War I and the 1920's in this unit. We will have our test on December 21st.
