Good morning!
I just wanted to remind everyone that today is a teacher work day. I am very sorry this was not indicated in my email on Sunday. I was unaware it was going to be a teacher work day until yesterday. I have updated in students in a message in "The GREAT Class" in Google Classroom. If your child would like something fun to do today, I suggested a passion project! A passion project is a project of choice that brings you joy or lets you express your passion. It could be as simple as reading a book you have been trying to read but have not had time or researching and learning about a topic that you have always wanted to learn bout like planting a vegetable garden. If they choose to do some sort of passion project today, they can share what they did in a FlipGrid linked to Google Classroom. Students may also work on ZooTopia if they signed up to have some fun with this collaborative project! Have a great day and as always, let me know if you need anything! Good morning parents!
If you have any questions about my update from yesterday, please let me know! I have assigned students their work for today and provided them with a video as well to show them how to complete their work. To do today: Blue Math: Must Do's
Yellow Math: Must Do's We are starting our new unit on integers today!
I will provide different options for students to take notes. You can use an ipad and write on the PDF copy on the notes linked to the assignment in Google Classoom OR you can open the Nearpod (code: SGIUN)vand takes notes during the “draw it” feature OR you can simply print out the notes to put in your notebook. Fast Finishers:
Happy Sunday Parents!
I hope everyone had a great, relaxing weekend. As we look ahead into next week. I wanted to provide you with your student's work ahead of time just in case anyone wanted to prepare. The weekly choice board is attached with what students in each group should complete as well as some optional work including a fun project! Please remember students should be spending about 35 minutes a day on math, 35 minutes a day on ELA, and 20 minutes a day on specials. I will continue to update you with the work each morning and will continue to communicate with your student each morning as well. I will be holding help sessions through Microsoft Teams 3 times this week. The dates and times are: Monday at 10:30am, Wednesday at 3PM, and Friday at 10am. If your child needs any additional help with either a concept of technology, we can set up a one-on-one help session as well! To use Teams, I suggest you download the Teams (microsoft) application on any phone, iPad, or computer. Students can access their Teams through Classlink and will be redirected to the app. The app is not required but might help. HERE is a link to show you and your child how to log into Microsoft Teams. Don't forget about the Dolvin Virtual Spirit Days ! Tweet pictures of your students "working" from home using the hashtags #DolvinGoesDigital and #FCSrising !
