Good afternoon parents!
I have a few important reminders for next week when we are working on our pig dissection. Please see the reminders below that are relevant to your child. No matter how your child completes the lab, this will be a summative test grade. Face-to-Face Students: We will be doing the dissection on April 19-22nd. During those mornings and at lunch, please be aware of spicy things on their tummies. Try and give them a bland breakfast if possible. They can feel queasy sometimes the first couple of days. Make sure hair is back and clothes are not Sunday's finest. Students must also wear closed toed shoes to participate in the lab. I am so excited for this dissection!!!!! This is where all of my future scientists and doctors appear! Even kids not looking forward to it, suddenly become the experts on the human body! Remote Students: For Remote learners, I will have my camera on but you may or may not see a lot. You will have a different but similar activity to do. There are 2 packets that need to be picked up the week of the 12th-16th from the front office. It involves a 3D model the kids will have to make. Directions for remote students will be posted in an assignment in Teams that should be turned in on April 22nd. This is also a summative grade. I wish we could do on camera but its just not a good idea for us to do simultaneous when our f2f kids are using medical grade tools in the classroom and really need full attention.
