Unleash the Lions! (5th grade fun week): Information regarding 5th grade fun week will come home shortly. We will be requesting a donation to cover the cost of some of the events. Volunteer sign ups will all be sent out at the same time in the weeks to come. I will let you know the exact date and time when I get it. I hope everyone is excited!!
Field Day!: Field Day is this Thursday from 11:30-2:05. Please make sure your child brings appropriate shoes to participate in Field Day as well as a water bottle and SUNSCREEN!!
We are learning about unit 7- Geometry and the coordinate plane . In this unit, we will cover Coordinate planes and functions . Test will May 4th.
We will be learning more about expressions and equations. We will continue to learn about how to solve algebraic equations and will expand this knowledge to include solving inequalities. This week we will learn about direct variation and how to graph inequalities. We will test over this unit on May 11th.
We have started working on 6th grade unit 7. In this unit, we will work with integers. We have already learned how to order integers, how to find absolute value, and how to add, subtract, multiply and divide integers. We will be practicing these skills this week. We will test over this unit on May 11th .
We will be learning about the Cold War and the Civil Rights Movement. We did several hands on activities involving this time period during the testing weeks. We will test over this unit on May 2nd.
We will start our last science unit on Thursday. This unit will cover heredity. Students will learn how traits are inherited and what kinds of behaviors or traits are influenced by the environment. Our assessment for this unit will be on May 9th.
