Good Morning!
A few reminders for this week: 1. Jekyll forms and the last payment are due on Feb. 9th, next Thursday. I hope everyone is getting excited for the trip!!! 2. International Day is next Wednesday, Feb. 8th. Students may dress up if they would like! 3. Please remember to check Class Dojo and SeeSaw regularly for student updates. Behavior is noted on Class Dojo and SeeSaw is where students can highlight their work. They are finishing up posting some awesome news reports this week! Blue Math- Blue math has just started Unit 6. We will be working on measurement and volume. When working with measurement conversions, we will work with customary and metric measurements. This is hard for many students so please make sure they are practicing at home through their homework or TenMarks. Our test over this unit will be Feb. 24th. Yellow Math- Yellow math is finishing up 6th grade Unit 1. This was a very big unit full of review and some new information. They will have a study guide coming home on Wednesday and their unit signed papers on Thursday. We will also be having out quiz over this big unit this week with our test next Thursday, Feb. 9th. The skills they will be assessed on are decimal operations, fraction operations, LCM, GCF, and the distributive property. Science- We started Chemical and Physical changes last week in class. Students have already learned the difference between these two changes and even got to watch Bill Nye explain chemical reactions and show them some cool chemical reactions. We will have our science quiz on Friday and our test over this short unit next Wednesday, Feb. 8th. Please make sure students are reviewing vocabulary nightly. I hope everyone plans to watch the Falcons in the Super Bowl on Sunday!!! We will have a math lesson with the game to go along with our STEM project on Monday after the big game!
