Only a few short weeks left! However, we are not done yet! We still have to finish our math units and finish some more science. Please check the subjects below for what to expect these last few weeks.
Spring Family Fun Night! - Spring Family Fun Night is this Friday. It is going to a very fun time and I hope everyone can make it!
Relay for Life- Relay for life is this upcoming Saturday from 4-11PM at Webb Bridge Middle School. I will be there walking/running in support of the program and I hope to see you all there! Thank you so much for all of your help raising money throughout the year! The support means a lot.
5th grade pool party: Please note that a new permission form came home today for the pool party. The date was wrong on the first one. The 5th grade field trip will be Wednesday, May 24th.
Yellow Math- We have been working with Unit 4 which involves solving algebraic equations and inequalities. They have also learned how to graph inequalities and write inequalities using real world scenarios. Our test over this unit will be on Thursday, May 18th.
Blue Math- We have been reviewing some important concepts that we learned in 5th grade. These skills just happen to be in 6th grade unit 1 :). Students will be assessed over this review on Thursday, May 18th. The review includes, decimal operations, and fraction operations. We will also learn and preview some new 6th grade skills such as GCF, LCM, and the distributive property.
Science- We have been learning about heredity in science. Students are learning about important vocabulary such has dominant and recessive traits, learned behaviors vs. instincts, etc. Students will be tested over this unit this Thursday, May 11th.
