In these two weeks of school before winter break, it is very important that students are at school as much as possible. We are finishing up the semester and we have deadlines for grades and tests. If your chid is going to be absent of is absent unexpectedly, please email their teachers so we can plan for this. Thursday is our field trip to the teaching museum. We are still in need of another volunteer to come with us. If you sign up, you need to have gone through the volunteer training. If you are interested in volunteering, please sign up below. Please note that his is a different time and day then our other discovery labs. http://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c044eaba62ea2f85-discovery1 We have our math tests this friday and our SS tests next Wednesday. Make sure students are studying nightly! Blue math- Students got a study guide today they need to be working on through the week. We will check these on Thursday so they know what to study. Their test will cover adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing fractions. They will also be tested over their ability to make a line plot graph. Yellow math- Students have a review sheet they got for homework which we will check on Wednesday. It is a good review over a few of our units. Their test on Friday will cover their ability to read points on a coordinate plane and plot points on a coordinate plane. They wil also be asked to follow real world patterns and plot these patterns in a coordinate plane. SS- We have been learning about WWI. We have learned about the causes of the war and how the United States got involved. This week, we will be learning about the homefront and the end of the war. We will also learn about how America boomed during the 1920's following their victory in WWI. Our test over this unit will be next Wednesday.
