Please read below for some news of the events of the week. Tomorrow is college jersey day! Wear your favorite teams colors and show your support! Signed papers are due Tuesday. Please sign the cover sheet indicating that you saw your child's graded papers. Social Studies: We are starting our new unit on reconstruction. We will learn about how The United States had to make several changes after the end of the Civil War. We will learn about the 13th, 14th and 15th amendments and how sharecropping replaced slavery in the south. End of Unit Assessment is scheduled for October 2nd. Yellow Math: We are coming to an end with Unit 5- geometry. Our test is still scheduled for tomorrow (Tuesday 9/22) . It will cover the attributes of shapes. We will be starting Unit 6 on Wednesday. This unit will cover Volume and Measurement. We will learn how to find the volume of a rectangular prism and how to convert measurements. Students will gain an understanding of both customary and metric measurement and volume. Blue Math: We are continuing our work with decimals. This week, we will be learning how to round, compare, and add decimals. Our test is scheduled for October 2nd.
